MOV to MP4
To convert a MOV video to MP4, drag it, tap Shift and drop it on the MP4 planet. PlanetOS writes an MP4 next to the original that plays on Windows, Android, smart TVs and every website.
How to convert MOV to MP4

Start dragging the MOV file, from the desktop or any folder.

While you're still holding it, tap Shift. A ring of planets opens around the file, one for each format it can become.

Drop the file on the MP4 planet. The MP4 copy appears next to the original a moment later.
Why convert MOV at all
MOV is Apple's QuickTime format, used by iPhones and screen recordings on a Mac. Most players can open it, but plenty of upload forms, video editors and TVs expect MP4.
PlanetOS keeps the original resolution and uses its highest quality setting by default. You can change both in Settings → Formats, for example to make every MP4 720p.
Big files
There's no size limit, because nothing is uploaded. If the MP4 is still too large to send, try Compress video.
PlanetOS does all of this on your computer. Your files are never uploaded, and it works without an internet connection.
Questions
Will MOV to MP4 reduce quality?
Not visibly. The default setting is the highest quality, at the original resolution.
Does sound come along?
Yes, audio is kept.
